Stewart Acoustical Consultants was founded in 1979 to provide experienced, independent, professional consulting services exclusively in acoustics and noise control for the architectural, environmental, and industrial workplace markets. It is not just a sideline for us. Our affiliation with James S. Brawley allows us to include quality unbiased designs of audio and video systems. Clients include architects, engineers, industry, schools, governments, property owners, churches, & attorneys.
We maintain advanced instruments for the measurement and analysis of sound. We invest in state of the art acoustics computer modeling software for all aspects of our work.
Our combination of training, breadth of experience, leadership of our total team, including affiliated consultants, and technology is unmatched by any other firm headquartered in North Carolina, southern Virginia, South Carolina, or Tennessee. This approach of a solid core plus affiliates allows us to scale our operations to meet demanding schedules.
We use a combination of scientific theory, analytical modeling tools, measurement data, experience, and judgment to analyze problems and provide advice to enhance value and functionality, reduce the risk for new projects and help resolve existing problems.
Acoustical Consultants have diverse backgrounds and qualifications that should be carefully reviewed to select the best consultant for a project. Since we are not capable of handling technical concerns outside acoustics, other professionals should be involved in projects. We should not be confused with sales representatives of acoustical products and systems. We are not associated with the sale of any product.
Like most qualified acoustical consultants in North America, our firm is a member of the National Council of Acoustical Consultants, NCAC. Our staff has held leadership positions in NCAC, and all professional staff members are also members of appropriate technical societies, such as the Acoustical Society of America, the Institute of Noise Control Engineering, and the Audio Engineering Society.
